• Keep the fruit and vegetable packaging on, so that it will last longer, unless you are ready to eat the food. Also, remember to check the instructions to be sure.
• Reclose the packaging that your cheese and ham comes in, will likely keep them lasting longer after they’re opened. You can also wrap them in a sling film or foil or you can place them in an airtight container.
• Freeze food so that you can eat it and it won’t spoil before the “use by” date.
